Just read one of the best books on creating effective sales compensation plans. KISS is an acronym often overused, but in the case of this book, it is quite appropriate. For some, it may be nothing more than affirmation of your own philosophy. For others, perhaps just beginning to build a sales organization, it should be an effective guide. And for those who believe it to be overly simplistic I would ask you just one question; can your salespeople explain to you "how" they make money...without having to constantly refer to their comp plan?
